ABSTRACT

 

Russian-American painter Olga Antonova (b. 1956) captures light and creates engaging familiarity through technical proficiency.  Using a mostly grey palate, her work becomes sun kissed through her manipulation of shadows, while the artifacts she paints manifest an intimate and palpable presence.
